Important planning tips:

  • Schedule your tune-up when you can be home.
  • Have questions ready for technician when he arrives.
  • Expect your system to be inoperative for a short period of time during the tune-up.
  • Set aside 2 to 4 hours to tune-up each system. (click for definitions) 
  • Keep a file for your contract and tune-up invoices for future reference.
  • Consider investing in multiple years and protect self from inflation/contract increases.

Inspection checklist:

  • Clean and adjust burner assembly 
  • Clean ignition assembly
  • Clean heat exchanger or elements 
  • Monitor flue draft
  • Monitor refrigerant pressure 
  • Test safety controls
  • Clean /replace air filters

  • Measure for correct air flow 
  • Tighten electrical components

  • Lubricate all moving parts
  • Adjust thermostat calibration
